This is the first time I've bought a bare root cactus (although technically I guess it's a shrub). I've bought the large, cut-from-the-ground type from big box stores before, and those take time to get going. I planted this one, waited a week per the instructions, and watered it (and monsoon season hit). Within a week it was full of leaves, and I think it's getting ready to flower! Very glad to see that it's already establishing itself.
