Partridge Breast Aloe

🌱 Aloe variegata – Tiger Aloe with Unique Variegation

Add a unique touch to your garden or home with Aloe variegata, also known as Tiger Aloe or Partridge Breast Aloe. This compact succulent, native to the rocky terrains of South Africa’s Eastern Cape, is celebrated for its distinctive, variegated leaves and versatile adaptability.

🌟 Why Aloe variegata is a Garden Favorite:

🌿 Compact, Rosette Growth: Forming a neat rosette, the fleshy, triangular leaves of Aloe variegata reach 12 to 18 inches in height—ideal for containers, small gardens, and rockeries.

🍃 Distinctive Variegated Foliage: The unique white-to-pale green stripes on dark green leaves make Tiger Aloe a stunning focal point wherever it’s planted.

🌸 Seasonal Blooms: Aloe variegata produces tubular orange to red flowers on tall stems during its flowering season, adding a splash of color and attracting hummingbirds to your garden.

Versatile Ornamental Uses:

🏞️ Rock Gardens & Xeriscapes: Perfect for rock gardens and low-water xeriscapes, this compact aloe adds a unique pattern and texture to any landscape design.

🌞 Container Gardening: Ideal for patio pots and balcony planters—containers also make it easy to move indoors during colder months.

🏡 Indoor Cultivation: Thrives as a houseplant in well-lit spaces, perfect for bringing low maintenance greenery indoors in cooler climates.

💧 Easy-to-Care, Drought-Tolerant, and Cold Hardy:
Tiger Aloe withstands mild frost but is best suited for warm or temperate climates. It requires minimal water, making it an ideal choice for drought-tolerant gardens.

🚚 Guaranteed Quality and Safe Delivery

Each Aloe variegata is selected, wrapped and packaged with great care to ensure it arrives in pristine condition ready for easy stress-free planting. Planting, watering and general care instructions are included with every order.

Aloe: Easy-Care Beauty All Year Round

Aloe: Easy-Care Beauty All Year Round

Looking for a striking, easy-care plant? The aloe family offers a wide variety of shapes, sizes, and colors—making it perfect for any garden or container design.

Some aloes are compact and solitary, while others form beautiful clusters. Certain varieties grow tall and tree-like, adding bold vertical interest. Leaf colors can range from rich greens to stress-induced reds, and even cool blue tones—like the popular ‘Blue Elf’. From late fall through early spring (November to March), aloes reward you with vibrant flower spikes in shades of orange, red, and yellow.

Whether you're working with a bright windowsill, a sunny patio, or a full-sun landscape, there's an aloe to suit your needs. These plants thrive in a range of lighting conditions and are ideal for containers or low-maintenance garden beds.

Most aloes prefer protection from frost. In regions where temperatures dip below freezing, we recommend covering them overnight. However, we do offer a selection of hardier varieties that can tolerate nighttime temperatures down to the mid-20s (°F).

Aloes are tough, eye-catching, and flexible—an excellent addition to any indoor or outdoor space.

Spectacular plants, very competent service

I first chose the Saguaro Cactus, a small one. Next came Old Man of the Andes. The big surprise was the Red Barrel from Baja (knocked my socks off!). And finally the Partridge Breast Aloe, tame looking compared to the cacti, but a beauty nevertheless. As each arrived on my stoop here in VA, I was impressed by the consistent care in preparation and packaging. All arrived as healthy specimens with no signs of rough transport across the US. Very happy with my purchases & am confident that I can count on continued support as my succulent experience matures.

Beautiful plant

Received plant in excellent condition. Plant seemed to be thriving and even produced seven flower stalks. When I went to trim back the dried stalks, the plant fell over. There were no roots attached to the plant. Called Cactus Outlet and they explained how to try to save the plant. Waiting to see how it responds now. I really like this plant so I hope it survives. Proper sourcing is key!!

This aloe is unique and on the smaller side. I can tell that this plant was raised well and tended to appropriately. Upon arrival at my home, it was healthier than expected and in impeccable condition.
