Some aloes are compact and solitary, while others form beautiful clusters. Certain varieties grow tall and tree-like, adding bold vertical interest. Leaf colors can range from rich greens to stress-induced reds, and even cool blue tones—like the popular ‘Blue Elf’. From late fall through early spring (November to March), aloes reward you with vibrant flower spikes in shades of orange, red, and yellow.

Whether you're working with a bright windowsill, a sunny patio, or a full-sun landscape, there's an aloe to suit your needs. These plants thrive in a range of lighting conditions and are ideal for containers or low-maintenance garden beds.

Most aloes prefer protection from frost. In regions where temperatures dip below freezing, we recommend covering them overnight. However, we do offer a selection of hardier varieties that can tolerate nighttime temperatures down to the mid-20s (°F).
