Euphorbia Royaleana

Image 1 Image 2 Image 3

Euphorbia royaleana is a succulent plant native to the Himalayan region, specifically found in India, Nepal, and Bhutan. This plant features succulent leaves during the growing season and will drop its leaves as the temperatures cool down.

Euphorbia royaleana presents as a columnar cactus, growing arms up top and multiple branches from the bottom. Its rich green color, robust, tall and multi-arm form makes it a popular choice for xeriscaping, rock gardens, container gardens and other low-maintenance landscaping applications. It also makes a great indoor house plant given a bright room to live in. Euphorbia royaleana is moderately cold hardy and can take night time temperatures down to the mid-twenties fahrenheit.

Euphorbia design and application suggestions:

Our Euphorbias are tolerant of a wide range of lighting conditions. They will be happy outdoors, indoors, on patios or in a sunroom. The Euphorbias we offer also come in very unique shapes and lend themselves as unique single pieces or used to create contrast amongst other plants.

The Euphorbia royaleana looks like a columnar cactus in growth habit. As temperatures warm and days get longer, this Euphorbia starts to grow large succulent leaves. The Moroccan mound is a very unique and symmetrical looking Euphorbia, great in a pot or in the landscape. Firesticks are full of drama when the stems turn red. Candelia and Pedilanthus look great in containers or used as succulent groundcovers and border plantings in the landscape. Euphorbias also offer tremendous disease and critter resistance. In an outdoor setting, you will rarely see Euphorbias being browsed on by animals.

Why purchase our Euphorbias?

Our Euphorbias are grown right here in Southern Arizona in conditions very closely resembling their native habitats. Raised outdoors with just the right amount of water and fertilizer, they come to you in their natural form. These plants do not come to you from a greenhouse. They are already hardy to whatever growing conditions you have to offer. Our Euphorbias present the same appearance as you will find them in their native habitats.

If you want to plant them in a container for a sunroom, patio or window planter, great! If you want to take your Euphorbias and plant them in the ground, also great! No acclimation needed. Our plants are ready to go!

Large Euphorbia Royaleana

I am a nut when it comes to cactus. I have had as many as 300 species on my property at any one time. This cactus is one of the best that I have ever purchased online. Besides being a beautiful specimen, it came so well-packaged that there was not even a small blemish on the plant. I found a great home for it in a pot on my back porch and it is truly one of my prize possessions. I thought that the price was a bit high when I purchased it, but after getting the plant, it is worth the money. I cannot see buying plants from anyone else as I have now been made very happy with several orders from this vendor. Truly worth the price!

Love this cactus.

Being I live in South Florida, I started off the first 2 weeks by putting the cactus in a large pot. I probable will put it in my cactus garden. I am finding out we here in Florida can plant cactus outdoors. I have learned what soil to use and making sure there is no disease on the plants, and there is drainage. The plants I have in the ground since August have looked great so far and growing. Will let you know what happens.
